The first graph shows the relationship between the engine speed in RPM and the Comet transmission ratio. The ratio is greatly affected by the horizontal alignment of the two Comet pulleys. See the Comet data sheet for more information about this offset.

The second graph shows the relationship between the speed of the engine in RPM and the speed of the bike in MPH.

Sprockets were selected for a top speed of 69 MPH at 3,580 RPM with a 1:1 Comet clutch ratio using a Vanguard 16 HP engine.
